JASON KELLER

Law student • University of Victoria Faculty of Law

Jason Keller is a law student at the University of Victoria Faculty of Law, where he continues to develop his advocacy skills while deepening his knowledge of the law, statutes, and legal research.

For over 13 years before attending law school, Jason owned a private personal training studio, Fit as a Fighter Fitness, in beautiful Prince George, BC. As a private business owner, Jason has worked with a diverse range of clients and developed key attributes such as leadership and communication.

Throughout his career, Jason has also competed in mixed martial arts, boxing, bodybuilding, physique, classic physique, and various races. Being an athlete has taught Jason the importance of hard work and dedication. He notes that the event isn't the hard part. The training to get there is. This notion highlights that what you do daily matters just as much. He carries that mindset into life, including his legal education.

Jason has used his leadership role in the Prince George community as an opportunity to contribute. He has done so by volunteering as a coach at both elementary and high schools, teaching fitness or combat sports across Prince George and as far as Houston, BC. He also directed efforts to organize a fundraiser for Alzheimer's called Fitness for Alzheimer's, which raised over $25,000 over two years for the Alzheimer Society of British Columbia. While in school, Jason's commitment to his community has not waned. He continues to serve as a director on both the Engage Sport North board and the Brain Injured Group Society.

Jason sees that many business owners and residents in the city of Prince George are struggling as crime and disorder appear to be running rampant. During law school, Jason plans to gain valuable knowledge, tools, and skills to help him contribute to the safety and strength of the community he calls home.
